Monday Evening Vaccine events at 2959 N. Pulaski

IWe are looking for people who can vaccinate to help with an ongoing, small event every Monday evening in the Belmont Craigin neighborhood, sponsored by Centro San Bonifacio.  The promotoras de salud are doing excellent outreach and are now vaccinating about 50 people every Monday, 5-7 pm.  It's a well organized, joyful event where many folks, including children are getting their first vaccine;

One of us picks up the vaccines and then give vaccines once or twice a month.  Spanish is helpful but not required as there are people available to translate. Please email me if you would like to be added to this ongoing event and would like more details.

If you would like to be part of this team please email Peg Dublin at PegDublin@gmail.com,.

Chicagoland Vaccine Partnership Educator's Roundtable

The educator's roundtable is a monthly meeting focused on increasing equitable access, education, and uptake of vaccine to help students, families and educators feel safe and comfortable about returning to the classroom.

We hope to accomplish this through improving coordination between education, CBO’s and public health to ensure students and staff know how to access the vaccine, training people trusted by parents, students and teachers to have conversations about COVID-19 and the vaccine, and developing tools for school systems to plan effective vaccination efforts that include community mobilization and community partnerships.  These meeting happen the first Thursday of each month from 2-3 PM.

You can join the meeting here: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87663621420

HEADS UP - "SHADY" TESTING SITES

IDPH has become aware that suspicous testing sites are cropping up around the area.  Consumers are reporting never receiving test results and sites are not reporting test results to the public health department.

IDPH asks anyone who sees suspicious test sites operating to email ccdph.covid19@cookcountyhhs.org

A complaint to the attorney general's office would also be appropriate.

The Vaccine Brigade holds a Zoom meeting open to all members usually every several weeks for all brigade members.  Our next meeting will be in March.  A zoom invite will be sent to all brigade members.
